House Democrat Rep. José Serrano has proposed House Joint Resolution 15, which would amend the Constitution by striking the 22nd amendment. The end result if passed? The elimination of the two term limits set on the President of the United States. With numerous controversies surrounding Obama's further evisceration of the Constitution and the rule of law, this should certainly make one question the timing and motivation of the proposed amendment. It's not likely such a proposal will become law, however, as it requires 2/3 of the House and Senate as well as 3/4 of the state legislatures to sign on. What is perhaps most revealing, then, is either the total disconnect that legislators have toward the pulse of the nation, or the brazenness with which they ignore the population in furtherance of desperate, and often successful, bids toward the centralization of power in our unfolding Convergence State.
